Storyboard
Here is my Storyboard from stylesight.com. My inspiration was, obviously, extreme weather, like tornados. Severe storms have always fascinated me and I think that the clouds offer great silhouettes and textures for inspiration. The colors are beautiful and they are so varied for one storm to the next. I want my line to contain stormy and dull colors, and I want to have a silhouettes inspired by tornados. Small and narrow bottoms will be pared with flowing and loose tops. Unique cloud-like prints and fabric will offer variations and will create movement on the garments. Would you wear it? Let me know what you think!

Love this theme! I used to want to be a storm chaser, so I totally get the fascination with the strange colors and designs that manifest in the sky. I think you may need a few more colors or to subdue a few of your current colors a little more. Just a few more grey tones to really drive the weather point home.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jamie, I think your color palette could use some more dark tones but otherwise I love your inspiration images.
ReplyDeleteI like the flow of the images you used in your storyboard, it works well with the stormy theme, it prevents the board from looking static.
ReplyDeleteI think you only chose these storms because the sky turns purple. I do really love destruction and disaster as an inspiration- my favorite and the dress to the right is lovely
ReplyDeleteI really like this as inspiration, and I think that your color scheme really captures the colors of storm clouds. The dress in the bottom right is really interesting, and I think it reflects the feeling of wind whipping about.

ReplyDeleteNice job, Jacqulyne. The storyboard is well put together and has eye-appeal as well as I-appeal! The theme is conducive to the use of soft, flowy fabrics as well as ample amounts of creativity! I would definitely wear some of these fashions and would be eagerly awaiting your new arrivals.

ReplyDeleteThe use of natural, dark colors is lovely. I like the small trim bottoms with flowing tops - like the variances you see in storms. The textures also invoke the stormy feel - overall a beautiful storyboard. It caught my eye and I would buy clothes from this line.
